ROOM TERRA E FUOCO (earth & fire):
The walls hit by an explosion of pottery fragments. A bed that fluctuates in the apparent void in which to loose yourself to rediscover the fullness of being. The room, signed by Luigi Mainolfi recompose itself in the large rectangular windows that, with the effect of a prospective breakthrough, opens sight and mind to the sea and the sky and so it creates a fascinating intersection among the four elements: air, water, earth and fire.
The chair and the suspended bed are the core of the work. They are also functional elements and privileged view-points. The iron sculpture-chair with its lines that become torsion, is the mean through which the guest release its energy, its thoughts and become himself a being in the space and in the void.
Its aspect of a metallic warp merge with the broken lines of the wall pottery forming a labyrinthic path which evokes the passages, the stops and the sudden accelerations of existance.
The large bed floats lightly in the space with no grips with the walls, which appear as a mosaic of pieces of matter whose tone varies with the passing of the hours of the day.
A night to free you from yourself and to find in that emptyness the fullness of being.
